This should anger us. These tatics are nothing less than reverse sexism and we should not sit still for any kind of sexism, regardless the gender it thrust upon. Obama and Biden are in my opinion being attack based on their gender and that is not okay. We should speak out to the media and all that are fueling this en… Continue

Don't Watch Real Time Sarah Palin Interview

Please tell everyone not to watch the Palin interview tomorrow. Watching will only help the ratings. I think all the Dems watching the Republican convention falsely drove up the ratings. Watch the rerun only. This is very important.

Worldchanging -US Based Environmental Magazine/Organization

Worldchanging is a solutions-based online magazine that works from a simple premise: that the tools, models and ideas for building a better future lie all around us. That plenty of people are working on tools for change, but the fields in which they work remain unconnected. That the motive, means and opportunity for profound positive change are already present. That another world is not just possible, it's here. We only need to put the pieces together. Informed by that premise, we do our best to… Continue

Tammy: Here's the Golden Question the Republicans wouldn't dare to answer: IF MCCAIN BECAME ILL AND COULD NOT CONTINUE IN THE CAMPAIGN WOULD THEY MOVE THEIR VP NOMINEE UP TO THE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE? That's the gamble they're asking the US to take.

I get your shift in demeanor is surely called for. Doing it without going slime like McCain take finesse, but I agree we have to.

BTW, I've volunteered to spend Oct 3 - Oct 12 in New Mexico working that sure swing state before coming back to work Texas for the closing 3 weeks. I'm looking for 3 - 4 people to go out there for at least part of that time so we can spit the gas cost. My route will be either home -> Austin -> El Paso or home -> Dallas ->El Paso. We need more people over there per the national campaign. Send me volunteers. They supply food and lodging.

Palin Is "Racist, Sexist, Vindictive, And Mean"
Alaskans Speak (In A Frightened Whisper): Palin Is "Racist, Sexist, Vindictive, And Mean"

September 5, 2008

by Charley James -

"So Sambo beat the bitch!"

This is how Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin described Barack Obama's win over Hillary Clinton to political colleagues in a restaurant a few days after Obama locked up the Democratic Party presidential nomination.

According to Lucille, the waitress serving her table at the time and who asked that her last name not be used, Gov. Palin was eating lunch with five or six people when the subject of the Democrat's primary battle came up. The governor, seemingly not caring that people at nearby tables would likely hear her, uttered the slur and then laughed loudly as her meal mates joined in appreciatively.

"It was kind of disgusting," Lucille, who is part Aboriginal, said in a phone interview after admitting that she is frightened of being discovered telling folks in the "lower 48" about life near the North Pole.

Then, almost with a sigh, she added, "But that's just Alaska."

Racial and ethnic slurs may be "just Alaska" and, clearly, they are common, everyday chatter for Palin.

Besides insulting Obama with a Step-N'-Fetch-It, "darkie musical" swipe, people who know her say she refers regularly to Alaska's Aboriginal people as "Arctic Arabs" - how efficient, lumping two apparently undesirable groups into one ugly description - as well as the more colourful "mukluks" along with the totally unimaginative "f**king Eskimo's," according to a number of Alaskans and Wasillians interviewed for this article.

But being openly racist is only the tip of the Palin iceberg. According to Alaskans interviewed for this article, she is also vindictive and mean. We're talking Rove mean and Nixon vindictive.

No wonder the vast sea of white, cheering faces at the Republican Convention went wild for Sarah: They adore the type, it's in their genetic code. So much for McCain's pledge of a "high road" campaign; Palin is incapable of being part of one.

Tough Getting People Who Know Her to Talk
It's not easy getting people in the 49th state to speak critically about Palin - especially people in Wasilla, where she was mayor.....
