Oregon Wants Obama! is for organizing around Portland and the rest of Oregon. i've collected the major speeches, important articles, and other items you'll find helpful in organizing for Obama (and save you having to search these for yourself). if anyone wants to use this site to share vids and publicize events, just let me know.
i have been blogging for Obama since early last summer at
Oregon for Obama. if anyone else wants to write there, justlet me know.
and if you're an Oregonian, you should check
Blue Oregon on a regular basis (i'm a contributor, not the owner). it's the top progressive blog in and about Oregon. the writers & readers tend to be predominantly Obama (tsk; the Clintonites do a lot of whining about getting picked on), but you'll also be able to keep up with local politics — the kind of things that will be important in supporting Obama when he's in the White House.

My name is Jerry Farmer, and I was elected an Obama National delegate from the great state of Texas, SD 23, Dallas County. As many of you are aware, all delegates will be traveling in a few weeks to Denver, Co for the Democratic National Convention to cast our vote for Barack Obama as the Democratic nominee for next United States President.
I am reaching out to you to help support me in these efforts as well as help support my campaign funding. So, as many of you already know, that entails fundraising. Not just any old fundraising event though, something that will show the world how many people lives have been touched by the senator. I want to capture this monumental occasion, not just for me, but also for those who contribute to my journey. With that, ½ of the donations received will be presented to Barack’s national campaign at the convention, with a list of all the names that contributed; to show how many people came together to unite the party. No donation is too small, or too big, and all donations are appreciated.
I have set up a pay pal account where you can submit your donations directly. If you have already have a pay pal account, you can conveniently transfer funds to:jerry_farmer_mpa@yahoo.com. If not, there is also a convenient way to donate by credit card as well, just follow the directions on the donation page.
Please copy and paste the below link to your web address, and it will take you straight to the donations page. (You may be able to click the link)

i just got the camera and was testing it out yesterday. i was really impressed with the quality of my point-and-shoot footage, not to mention how easy iMovie worked. i'll definitely be doing more in the near future. i'll try to get what i took of Emily up here this afternoon; new content helps any site with googling. and we can work on how the different sites can support each other.
there's so much that can be done with websites locally, perhaps we should have a small get-togerther of people who want to work on that. share what we're each doing and look for ways to connect, etc. there will be more & more Oregonians going online looking for Obama-in-Oregon stuff, and we need to be ready. i'll be glad to do whatever i can. but the less i do in my own little universe, the better. i mean, it's a nice place here, but i'd more more effective in union with other webbists.
